Hawkesbury Consulting approached us regarding their network speed issues. We analysed the existing network and found some major flaws, ranging from lack of backups to well-outdated and unsupported systems and software.

Utilisation of QNAP Storage System
Before any changes were enacted, Hawkesbury Consulting were running two different file sharing systems – a dedicated file server used to serve a single program, and a 7 year old Thecus NAS used to share static files across the network. This setup was highly ineffective and overkill for what the client needed.
We identified this as a core reason the network was under-performing, and replaced both solutions with a new QNAP Storage Solution that had the horsepower to fulfil the needs of the client; boosting network performance and cutting power bills for ICT equipment in half.
Another issue Hawkesbury Consulting was facing was their existing email system. Due to the nature of their business, they heavily rely on sending and receiving emails to and from clients, with attachments included in the emails.
Their old email hosting provider had very small mailbox quotas, resulting in emails sometimes not being sent or received, as their quota had been exceeded. Sydney ICT developed a new “Email Hosting” plan which satisfied all of Hawkesbury Consulting’s storage needs for both now and in the future, ensuring their emails are delivered to their clients as expected, without headaches.
